Number of NHIS beneficiaries in South Korea 2022, by province
In 2022, around 13.9 million South Koreans insured under the government's public health insurance program National Health Insurance Service (NHIS) lived in Gyeonggi (Gyeonggi Province). A further 9.5 million lived in the capital city of Seoul. In South Korea, the number of people with public insurance are nearly identical to the total population.
