Mental health expenditure budget in Mexico 2021, by segment
In 2021, the highest share of mental health expenditure budget in Mexico was allocated to the prevention and treatment of addictions, adding up to more than 1.4 billion Mexican pesos. Programs focused on health care followed, with an estimated expenditure budget of over 1.3 billion Mexican pesos that year. These two segments accounted for nearly 90 percent of the mental health expenditure budget in the country in 2021.
