Women's Euro: Instagram followers gain 2022, by new followers
During the run-up to and throughout the Women's Euro 2022 competition, England captain Leah Williamson gained over 151 thousand new followers on Instagram. Giulia Gwinn, who plays for the German national team followed closely with over 150 thousand new followers. Alexandra Popp, Germany's captain, gained 67 thousand new followers on Instagram during the measured time period. Additionally, England's Beth Mead received over eight thousand positive social media mentions throughout the tournament.
