Netherlands: individuals purchasing fashion online by generation 2021

A survey carried out in the Netherlands in 2021 showed that the biggest fashion shoppers were 35 to 54-year-old, as roughly 74 percent of them reportedly purchased fashion items that year. Furthermore, approximately 70 percent of 18 to 34-year-olds shopped for fashion online, and 69 percent of Dutch shoppers aged 55 and older.

The survey involved 23,394 participants across the following European countries: Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

* Between 800 and 1,556 participants were interviewed per country. All respondents had purchased physical products from online since January 2021, and received at least one package.
