Portugal: ecological behaviors 2022

In an online survey completed in 2022, assessing the ecological behaviors already adopted by consumers, 34 percent of respondents answered they avoided food waste, 32 percent said they reused packagings such as jars, bottles, and boxes. A furhter 23 percent of respondents unplugged their chargers and lastly, 11 percent of respondents bought second-hand clothes.

This online survey was answered by a universe of 78 percent women and 28 percent men. As for the ages of the respondents: 44 percent are between 35-44 years old, 25 percent between 25-34 years old, 25 percent between 45-54 years old, 3 percent between 18-24 years old, and the remaining 3 percent corresponds to >55 years. 66 percent of these respondents are from Lisbon area, 20 percent from Porto area and the remaining percentage is distributed throughout the country.
