Supplementary notes

The labor informality rate refers to the sum, without duplication, of the employed men and women who are occupationally vulnerable due to the nature of the economic unit for which they work, plus those people whose employment relationship or dependency is not recognized by his or her source of work. Thus, this rate includes —in addition to the components that work in microbusinesses registered or informal sector— other analogous modalities, such as the self-employed in agriculture subsistence, as well as those who work without the protection of social security and whose services are used by the registered economic units.
