Share of income in the world earned by women 2019, by region
Across the whole world, women earn less than men. Worldwide, they earn 35 percent of total income before tax. However, there are striking regional differences; whereas female workers in Europe and North America earn nearly 40 percent of the total income, women in the Middle East and North Africa earn less than 15 percent of it.
