Share of income in the world earned by women 2000-2019
Since 2000, the share of the world's total labor income before tax earned by women increased gradually, from around 32 percent in 2000 to 35 percent in 2019. However, this is still significantly less than their male counterparts, and since 2009, the share only increased by one percentage point. There are also differences between the world regions.
