Distribution of mobile internet users among older people in China 2022, by city tier

China had about 297 million of mobile internet users who were over 50 years old. In August 2022, about two-thirds of these active users lived in the tier 3 cities and below, the less developed regions in the country. Instant messaging, e-commerce, and short-formed videos were the most popular mobile internet service categories among these users.
