According to a survey conducted among webtoon readers in August 2022 in South Korea, almost 59 percent of respondents answered that they used their main webtoon service because they had been using it for a long time, while for some it was even the first webtoon platform that they had ever used. The number of works someone wanted to read was also an important factor with 43.6 percent responding that way.
