Most popular property types among real estate lenders in the U.S. 2022-2023
Allocation of funding to industrial and multifamily properties was expected to increase in 2023, according to a December 2022 survey among commercial real estate lenders in the United States. Approximately 26 percent of the respondents were funding industrial and logistics properties at the time of the survey, while 41 percent planned to extend lending to this property type in the coming year. On the other hand, funding in the offices and hotel sectors was expected to reduce, with a lower share of lenders willing to allocate finance to these asset classes in 2023.
