Contactless POS payment in terms of number and value of deals in Portugal 2019-2022
In Portugal, the share of contactless payments among card payments increased, from 2019 to 2022, both in terms of the number of transactions and their value. In 2022, contactless payments were used in 45 percent of the time among card payments. Nevertheless, they represented only 30 percent of the value transacted in card payments.
