Emigration and prospective emigration from South Africa 2022, by marital status
As of 2022, the vast majority of South Africans who were emigrating, or were planning to emigrate through the assistance of the New World Immigration organization, were married or in a common law relationship with a share of 76 percent. Around 24 percent of the applicants were single. There are various reasons why these respondents want emigrate, however safety and security was listed as the number one concern.
