Main reasons for taking on debts or loans SEA 2023, by country
According to a survey conducted in Southeast Asia in June 2023, almost half of the respondents in Singapore claimed that buying immovable properties was one of their reasons for taking on debts or loans. In contrast, nine percent of the surveyed consumers in Indonesia chose immovable property purchases among their reasons for taking on debts or loans as of June 2023.
