Number of illegal online banking withdrawals in Japan FY 2013-2022, by account holder

In the fiscal year 2022, there were around 1,682 cases of unauthorized online banking withdrawals from bank accounts of individuals in Japan. This was the highest number of fraudulent withdrawals through internet banking in the past decade. The value of illegal withdrawals increased to a record high.
