Investment needed for local clean energy manufacturing demand in Europe and U.S. 2030
Europe will need to invest approximately 150 billion U.S. dollars in manufacturing plants to meet 100 percent of its domestic clean energy demand by 2030. Meanwhile, the U.S. will need to invest roughly 113 billion U.S. dollars. The largest share of investments in both regions would go toward lithium-ion batteries.
