Clean energy sector employment in the U.S. 2017-2022
The 2020 the COVID-19 pandemic hit the clean energy sector hard, which resulted in clean energy jobs decreasing to 3.05 million, approximately 300,000 less than the previous year. Despite the dramatic losses, the sector recovered in the following years, with around 3.3 million clean energy jobs reported in 2022.
