The most popular mode of transport for traveling to work in Brazil was by private car in 2023. Two-thirds of workers used this mode of transport to arrive at work, up from 55 percent in 2019. Public transport, meanwhile, has been on a downward trend, falling from 40 percent in 2019 mode share to 27 percent in 2023.
