GCC citizen workers covered by social security insurance in member states 2021
In 2021, the United Arab Emirates had the largest share of workers from the Gulf Cooperation Council member states who were covered by social security insurance, at 38.8 percent. Saudi Arabia closely followed with 35.8 percent of citizens from other GCC member states with social security insurance. During the same year, only one percent of citizens from GCC countries had social security coverage in Oman.
