The Brazilian neobank, Nubank, saw its gross profit increase significantly between 2019 and 2022. In 2022, Nubank reported a total gross profit of approximately 1.66 billion U.S. dollars, by far the highest profit in the observed period. One reason for the rapidly increasing gross profit is the rising customer number: The number of active customers at Nubank reached almost 70 million in the second quarter of 2023.
