Aquaculture production volume in Ghana 2021, by selected type

In 2021, more than 68,700 metric tons of tilapia fish were produced in Ghana. That amounted to nearly 77 percent of the total aquaculture production that year. On the other hand, production of catfish reached roughly 20,700 metric tons, around 23 percent. The total volume of fish produced in aquaculture in the country reached over 89,300 metric tons in the said year.
