In the said year, currency in the value of nearly 60 billion U.S. dollars was in circulation in the country. Moreover, according to recent data, banknotes and coins in circulation in Morocco and Egypt added up to around 37.2 billion U.S. dollars (2022) and 23 billion U.S. dollars (2023), respectively.
