Share of families that saved in the U.S. 1992-2019
In 2019, nearly 60 percent of American families managed to save money. The share registered in 2019 was among the highest throughout the period considered in the graph. In particular, after 2010, when approximately 52 percent of families in the United States saved money, this percentage increased steadily.
