Ultrabooks: global notebook market share 2011-2015 This statistic shows the market share held by ultrabooks as a percentage of global notebook shipments from 2011 to 2015. Ultrabooks are forecast to account for 42.7 percent of global notebook PC shipments in 2015, up from just 1.8 percent in 2011. In 2012, Apple's MacBook Air shipments are expected to total 8.4 million devices. With estimated combined sales of 4.2 million ultrabooks in 2012, Hewlett-Packard and Lenovo aren't likely to come close to Apple.
