Catering: share of UK household spend by income 2021

According to a survey conducted in the United Kingdom, households in the highest eighth disposable income decile group spent an average of 3.5 percent of their weekly household expenditure on catering services, in the fiscal year ending 2021, which was the highest among the income groups. Catering services includes restaurants, cafe meals, alcoholic drinks (away from home), take away meals eaten at home, other take away and snack food, contract catering (food) and canteens.
