Average household size in England in 2011, by region

This statistic shows the average number of people per household in England in 2011, by region. A household is defined as one person living alone, or a group of people (not necessarily related) living at the same address who share cooking facilities and share a living room or sitting room or dining area. Regional differences were not particularly great. London did, however, have the highest average, at 2.5 people per household.
