Modes of transport to selected UK airports 2019

This graph shows the different modes of transport that people used to get to selected airports in the UK in 2019. Gatwick had the highest percentage of people using rail to get to the airport, while Stansted had the highest percentage of people arriving by bus or coach. Heathrow was the only airport with underground connections, and that made up 20 percent of all travel to the airport that year. Manchester had the highest percentage of people traveling by private car and, like Heathrow, had quite a high percentage of passengers arriving by taxi or minicab.
