This statistic shows the distance travelled by passengers on the London Underground in the United Kingdom (UK) between 1950 and 2019, measured in billion passenger kilometers. From 1950 to 1980 there was a general trend in decreasing usage, but since then the distance travelled by passengers on the Underground has been rapidly growing. In 2018, the total passenger journeys reached its peak and stood at 12.6 billion kilometers travelled. By 2019, distance travelled by passengers on the London Underground declined to 12.1 billion kilometers.
