Transport for London passenger income 2015-2022
Tube transports almost 300 million passengers
Around 296 million passenger journeys were made on the London Underground in 2020/21. The majority of which were carried out by ordinary ticket holders. Between 2000/01 and 2018/19 figures for tickets had more than doubled. In the financial year 2020/21, passenger volume dropped to 296 million passenger journeys as a results of the coronavirus outbreak.
Mayor’s Transport Strategy
Air quality has become an important topic of discussion for Londoners. With the introduction of zero emission zones in the city center, residents and visitors to the capital are encouraged to use public transport or carry out their journeys cycling or on foot. All of which is part of Mayor Sadiq Khan’s Transport Strategy to see London becoming healthier, greener and less congested.
