This statistic shows the number of cars licensed in the West Midlands, England between 1995 and 2017. The number of licensed cars on the road in the West Midlands grew steadily between 1995 and 2005, after which the increase slowed down. The total number reached 2.868 million by 2014. The total for Great Britain in 2014 was 29.6 billion.
In 2017 the number of licensed cars in the North East of England increased and reached over 3 million.
