This statistic compares the writing levels of boys in care and boys not in care at Key Stage 1 (KS1) in England from 2010 to 2015. In 2014, 54 percent of male KS1 pupils living in care achieved the expected writing levels, compared to 82 percent of non-looked after male pupils, this amount increased for both groups the following year.
