Assets of all financial institutions in Germany 2002-2016 This statistic illustrates the value development of assets (financial assets when available, otherwise total assets) for all financial institutions in Germany from 2002 to 2016. It can be seen that the total assets of German financial corporations increased overall during this period, from a value of approximately 10.5 trillion U.S. dollars in 2002 to a total value of nearly 15.6 trillion U.S. dollars as of 2016. Although this was the case, the largest value recorded in the period under observation was found in the year 2008, when financial institutions in Germany held assets totaling more than 19.2 trillion U.S. dollars. Total assets value has experienced an overall decrease since 2012.

It can be seen that the total assets of German financial corporations increased overall during this period, from a value of approximately 10.5 trillion U.S. dollars in 2002 to a total value of nearly 15.6 trillion U.S. dollars as of 2016.
