This statistic illustrates the value development of assets (financial assets when available, otherwise total assets) for all financial institutions in the United Kingdom (UK) from 2002 to 2017. It can be seen that overall, the total assets of UK financial corporations increased overall during this period, from a value of nearly 9.37 trillion U.S. dollars in 2002 to a total value of almost 31.76 trillion U.S. dollars as of 2017. Although this was the case, the highest value was recorded in 2008 and amounted to 33.2 trillion U.S. dollars.
