This statistic presents the financial and non-financial support extended to family members (elderly parents or adult children) in Italy as of 2014. In that time, approximately 60 percent of the sample helped their adult children financially, but only 20 percent of respondents financially supported their elderly parents. Help with errands however ran the other way, with 70 percent of children providing support with housework or home repairs to their elderly parents.
