IPOs in U.S. and Europe biotechnology industry 2000-2022
In 2010, the biotech industry in Europe and the U.S. raised some 1.3 billion U.S. dollars in IPOs combined. The amount increased to 7.1 billion dollars in 2018, but reached an ultimative peak in 2021, with over 20 billion dollars. However, a huge drop down to 1.5 billion dollars followed in 2022. This statistic shows the combined amount raised in biotechnology IPOs in the United States and in Europe from 2000 to 2022.
