Poverty risk rate in Spain 2009-2021, by age
Population aged under 16 years was the group at the highest risk of poverty in Spanish society, with poverty risk rates that ranged from approximately 26.7 percent to 30.1 percent throughout the period of time under consideration. The age group that featured the lowest risk of poverty was the segment of population 65 and older. The share of total population at risk of poverty in Spain was at 21.7 percent in 2021.
