This statistic shows the annual value of residential property purchase transactions carried out by individuals in the United Kingdom (UK) from 2005 to 2014. There was a sharp reduction in transaction values at the end of 2007, which coincided with the housing market downturn and global financial crisis. By the end of 2014, the transactions value increased again to reach approximately 284. 5 billion British pounds.
