This statistic shows the amount of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions attributable to the production of electricity from alternative sources in the United Kingdom (UK) from 1990 to 2017. It shows that emissions have increased significantly over the years. In 1990, 744 thousand metric tons were emitted, whereas 14.5 million metric tons of CO2 equivalent were emitted in 2017.
