This statistic shows the amount of nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions attributable to production of electricity from gas in the United Kingdom (UK) from 1990 to 2017, in thousand metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e). It shows that N2O emissions from this sector were very low in 1990 but increased significantly over the following years. In 2010, emissions peaked at 34,800 metric tons of CO2e and decreased over the following years, totaling 26,700 metric tons of CO2e in 2017.
