Italy: revenue of publishing activities 2020, by sector

In 2020, the revenue of the publishing industry in Italy amounted to 7.19 billion euros, of which book publishing was the biggest sector, generating 2.62 billion euros in revenues in the Southern European country that year. Meanwhile, the publishing of journals and periodicals generated a revenue of around 2.11 billion euros, whereas the revenue from publishing newspapers amounted to 1.97 billion euros.
