In recent years, the housing market has continued to rise in the Netherlands due to low mortgage rates, a recovering economy and a high level of consumer confidence. For example, the number of registered transactions reached a value of approximately 235,000 in 2020 and the average selling price of houses was over 330,000 euros.
The source states that 'the number of sold dwellings is the number of registered transactions by the Dutch Land Registry Office (Kadaster) of dwellings purchased by a private person, measured at the end of the period under review'.
