In the first quarter of 2015, the total number of deals was 37. Subsequently, this increased to 43 in the third quarter of the same year. By the third quarter of 2016, the number reached 25.

The source also states that when investment size was undisclosed, they made 'an educated guess'. "In several cases of undisclosed funding the exact amount is known by the editorial team. Out of respect for founders and investors we choose not to publish those numbers. They do however add up in the total amount of funding."
