Value of domestic M&A transactions in Belgium 2014-2022
The total value of domestic mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions in Belgium is expected to reach a value of 0.3 billion U.S. dollars in 2020. Increasing confidence helped mergers and acquisitions to rise higher than expected in previous years. Reasons for this included an improving labor market, rising intra EU-trade and growing business investment. Note, however, that this prediction for 2020 was made before the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
