UK travel industry: impact of Brexit on the UK as a holiday destination 2016-2017
This statistic shows the results of a survey asking travel industry representatives and stakeholders at the London WTM exhibition (UK) to what extent the EU referendum result ('Brexit') has impacted the UK’s reputation as a holiday destination. In 2016, following the referendum results, 42 percent believed the result had a negative impact to some extent. This figure increased a year later in the 2017 survey, with 62 percent now believing the result has had a negative impact on the UK's reputation as a holiday destination.
