Latin America and Caribbean: bioenergy generation 2010-2018
Bioenergy production in Latin America and the Caribbean amounted to more than 77 terawatt hours in 2018, up from approximately 73.7 terawatt hours a year earlier. The production of bioenergy in the region has been on a continual upward trend since the beginning of the decade. Brazil was the leading country in bioenergy production in Latin America and the Caribbean that year.
