In 2022, Chinese cattle farms had an estimated livestock of around 61.2 million head of cattle. Compared to other livestock, such as sheep or goat, China's cattle production capacity is low as grazeland is limited. That is one of the reasons why Chinese companies invested heavily in Australia's beef industry.
