Belgium, where the average consumption reached just over 88 kilos that year. Milk was the most frequently consumed dairy product in the Netherlands in 2019, with an average per capita consumption of 38 kilos.
Daily dairy consumption
Looking at the average daily consumption of dairy in the Netherlands, it is not surprising that milk and milk-drinks topped the ranking, with nearly 150 grams per person per day in the period between 2012 and 2016. Yoghurt came in second place, at roughly 54 gram per day. By comparison, the daily consumption of ice cream in the Netherlands was just under ten grams daily.
