Andaman and Nicobar islands, an Indian archipelago in the Bay of Bengal, produced about 40 thousand metric tons of fish during fiscal year 2018, which was a rise from the previous year. An exponential increase in the fish production was observed from about 32 thousand metric tons in financial year 2009 across the islands.
