Drug production value share of hormones Japan 2021, by category
In 2021, the production value of thyroid and para-thyroid hormone preparations in Japan accounted for the largest share with over 24 percent of the total drug production value, followed by pituitary hormone preparations with close to eight percent. Androgen preparations accounted for the smallest share of the production value with only 0.3 percent.
