Number of pharmacies in France 2020, by municipality size
As of January 1, 2020, the total number of pharmacies amounted to 20,736 in France. Furthermore, with 6,500 pharmacies, municipalities gathering between 5,001 and 30,000 inhabitants registered the highest number of pharmacies in France at this date. On the contrary, cities having 100.001 to 200,000 inhabitants gathered the fewer pharmacies in France. Cities of this size indeed had only 1,296 pharmacies at the beginning of January 2020.
